Playwright, Film maker and Actor Tyler Perry is to create, write and executive produce an undetermined number of 22-minute standalone episodes of a ‘Madea’ cartoon series.
Perry has joined forces with Exodus Film Group, an animation company for the untitled series, which will be produced entirely up front before shopping to a network or releasing on DVD.

Inland American Real Estate Trust, Inc. bought the 22-hotel portfolio from The RLJ Urban Lodging Fund, a privately-held hotel real estate investment company for approximately $900 million.
The 4,061-room portfolio consists of upper upscale and upscale full and select-service hotels that are operated by brands including Marriott, Hilton and Hyatt. They are primarily located in major urban markets that Inland American Lodging believes to have strong barriers to entry and are less sensitive to economic changes.
The portfolio includes hotels in Washington, New Jersey, Maryland, Texas, Alabama, Georgia, Ohio, Colorado, Massachusetts, Arizona, New York and the Marriott Chicago

Meaning ‘market’ in Italian, Merkato 55 is the latest venture form chef Marcus Samuelsson.
It is an “African brasserie” which opened in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District, designed to recall the kaleidoscopic energy of Africa’s largest outdoor market, Addis Merkato in Ethiopia’s capital city, Addis Ababa.
By not focusing entirely on one country’s cuisine, a diverse sampling dishes from throughout the continent is offered. The African flavours and traditions will be filtered through the chef’s classical training and New York perspective.

Steve ‘the commissioner’ Stoute and Shawn ‘Jay-z’ Carter are partnering to open Translation Advertising in New York, an agency that will help marketers reach multicultural consumers.
Translation Advertising expects to announce its first clients soon, said Mr. Stoute, who sold Translation Consultation last October for an estimated $10 million to $15 million to the Interpublic Group of Companies in New York.
Interpublic will own 49% of Translation Advertising. The majority stake will be owned by it’s co-chairmen, Mr. Stoute, 37 and Jay-Z, 38.

Thompson is best known as a regular cast member on Saturday night live and for his role in American sitcom Kenan and Kel
Kenan is currently in his fifth season as a regular on NBC’s Saturday Night Live of which he was the first cast member to be born after the show debuted in 1975.
